As others have stated, there isn't one. However, most factory radios of the time could connect to a CD changer. Unless you have the bottom end spec stereo, they make 'aux adapters' that will connect to the CD changer interface and give you a 3.5mm headphone plug or two RCA Jack's (which can be adapted to a 3.5mm plug). Yes I plug the adapter into the back of the stereo and run the wire out. Google CD changer adapter 2005 Honda or aux adapter 2005 Honda.
Not only Volkswagen but almost all cars are nearly 300% higher than the international price. Honda Accord, which is just around 20K USD, around 14 lakh INR in US is being sold for nearly 40 lakh INR. Again in US it is nearly 5 year unlimited mileage warranty, here it is 30000 km or one year whichever comes first. Excise duty, state GST, Central GST, greed of manufacturers, sales network adds-up to this 300%+ huge looting. As far as government is concerned it is more about how much they get their cut diplomatically in the name of tax. There is no price or quality regulation exists to care and protect the citizens though we have tons of authorities and departments at the huge cost of hard earned tax payers money. In a country where accidents kills several thousands of people on daily basis due to pathetic bad roads, poor infrastructure, corrupt authorities and instead of fixing these issues, government and court jokingly shows their love for citizens and their safety by making helmet mandatory increasing its sales instead of doing its job of providing safe infrastructure including road. So the problem of 300% jacked up atrocious pricing of cars and its spares do one think they have a place to complain? Every honest citizens are left to the mercy of looters and corrupts is the bitter truth and reality.
The battery light comes on when the voltage output of the alternator is lower than the static voltage of the battery. Your Accord is 10 years old. More than likely the brushes in the alternator have worn out . They have gotten shorter and don’t make proper contact with the rotor . Sometimes they make contact and sometimes they don’t. Hence the intermittent illumination . At this age I would sell you a quality rebuilt alternator . Just changing the brush holder may work but it is labour intensive. I would not warranty the job as your diodes could be on the way out . Pay the price and get a rebuilt alternator with a warranty. Also, don’t forget that the number one culprit of alternator failure is a tired battery and contamination with engine oil. Make sure your mechanic checks the valve cover gaskets for leaks that could contaminate the new alternator. If your battery is 10 years old she might be a little long in the tooth. I explain to my customers that the alternator and battery relationship is like a marriage. The battery is the wife and the alternator is the husband trying to keep her happy. If the “wife” keeps asking for more juice day after day the “husband “ will wear itself out ! A marginal battery will still start the car and provide the necessary juice for all other electrical consumers, but it will demand more output from the alternator. More AMPS. AMps are heat. More heat, more wear ! Alternators do not like too much heat an so, even the brand new alternator will call it quits after a while.
Sounds like a charging system issue…I would go to a store that sells batteries and also has service bays where they can do a simple check on the voltage output while the car is running My guess is that you will need a new alternator…but could also be a loose or worn fan belt which is a much cheaper fix
Your rear springs may be broken. You can check with a flashlight but they may be hard to see. You might have to jack the car up and remove the rear wheels to get a good look. Coil springs typically break close to one end. Don’t crawl under the car when it’s on the jack! If you live in the rust belt, broken springs on this car would be no surprise. Check the fronts while you’re at it.
Jack up the vehicle and remove the tire. Remove the cotter pin that secures the Axle nut. Remove the 36mm nut that fastens the axle to the hub assembly. Remove the 14/17mm nut that secures the lower ball joint to the hub assembly. Remove the 2 12/14/17 mm bolts that hold the caliper on. Remove the 2 17mm bolts that hold the calipers bracket on.Pull the hub assembly outward freeing the outer part of the axle then use a pry bar to pop out the inner C.V joint part of the axle from the transmission. Install axle and reverse procedure. Good luck and hope this helps.
The only flaws Honda’s have are automatic transmissions failing prematurely and that’s due to their design. Servicing a Honda automatic transmission is a simple 3 quart drain and fill. The filter is located right near the middle of the transmission internally and can not be replaced except when re built. Then to top it off you can’t flush them, Honda recommends not doing so. The electric window motors also tend to fail quite often. The window’s run channels become brittle overtime and put excessive strain on the motors. But that can be avoided by spraying silicone in the windows run channels. Honda doesn’t include it in their maintenance scheduling either or states anything about it in their owners manuals. But hey you can always by one with a manual transmission and non electric windows..Good luck and hope this helps.
That there's are better options out there. That's the biggest thing that Honda fans fail to realize. Honda was great at a point, but they've been complacent for far too long, and the last decent Accord generation was released when Bill Clinton was president. The 2018 Accord is lackluster like all recent Accords. First of all, it looks hideous. It looks like they wanted it to be aggressive but also conservative, leaving it as neither. Honda was never the most reliable, and of late, they've been slipping further. Now, Honda is not much better than Ford or Chrysler in this aspect, and doesn't compete with the other Japanese brands. So, why the Accord? There's many midsize cars that are superior in what ever aspect you care most about. It isn't even the best jack of all trades either.
The wisdom of buying new (or nearly new) isn’t in question. A tactic I’ve used is simple. I show up and state from the beginning: “I intend to walk out of here with a written offer…not a car. The offer will/will not include an offer for my trade in. Will you deal with me on that premise?” A substantial amount of self-selection happens immediately with the sales-person. The sales-person will never say no to the question, but s/he will not say yes, either. There will be a thousand excuses, but not a no. I’ll only talk to someone who will answer yes to that question. And, under no circumstances will I leave the lot in a new car. The goal is to leave the lot with a firm price…with a signature from someone authorized to give that price…NOT the sales person. And if I sense I’m being jerked around, I walk. I did that once in New York State, where there is a “3-day cooling off period” law, and I put down a deposit. I bought elsewhere, and I got my deposit back. One exception: In 1986, I bought a new Honda Accord. At the time, Hondas were being marked up well over MSRP and they were being “packed” with all kinds of useless garbage to boot. So I called dealerships and spoke to sales people. I asked a different question: “Will you sell me a new Accord LX 5 speed for MSRP with no Packs?” When I got a yes, I went there, and we closed a deal in 30 minutes. The car had no dealer-installed packs…none…and I paid MSRP, a screaming deal on an Accord at that time. I don’t pretend to be a great negotiator. Instead, I shop for sales people who are willing to do business the way business should be done. To me, saving the last dollar isn’t as important as knowing I’m doing business with someone who isn’t working hard to slip in as many gotchas as possible. Last point: Go in with your own financing all lined up. Credit unions offer great rates on car loans, and many have “consumer advocacy associations” in whose membership you get to qualify to be a member….for something like $5. So get pre-approved and take one HUGE variable out of the equation. The dealer might actually do better on financing under some circumstances, but in many cases they also “pack” the loans with all kinds of fees, etc. And almost invariably your car loan will get sold to a shady loan hawker that is just dying to repossess or jack your rates at the slightest mistake. Credit unions tend to keep their loans, and they behave humanely if you slip up in a minor way. Having a loan in your pocket (firm commitment from a bank or credit union) allows you to walk away from that portion of the deal.
it might be a wheel bearing hub assembly. jack it up one wheel at a time and spin it and listen and/or feel for slack.
