The new 2021 Toyota Camry has carried forward the same powertrain options from 2020. This includes a 2.5L naturally aspirated, inline-4 unit for the base trims that pumps out a modest 203 hp and 184 lb-ft. It is coupled to a smooth-shifting 8-Speed automatic transmission and is rather quick for a car that is focused on occupant's well-being. Apart from this, the 2021 Camry retains both the hardcore 3.5L, V6 that was introduced in 2020 in the TRD model. The one on the 2021 TRD Camry pumps out an impressive 301 HP and is hoon worthy. It is a boon over the base engine that comes by as too bland for a purist's taste. The other end of this spectrum is not left unattended as the 2.5L hybrid engine is still present for the conservative lot. It produces a tad bit less juice with 176 hp and 163 lb-ft but the MPG figures will keep you happy. Toyota has given the hybrid variants a refreshing splash of colors. As 2021 Toyota Camry is a carry forward, expect its MPG figures to be retained as well. Fuel Economy has been one of Camry’s strong points and remains for 2021. Despite having an 8-Speed automatic transmission, it still manages to churn out a commendable overall 34 MPG. The Camry's quirky “Y” dashboard design along with its comfy and spacious seats are carried forward in the 2021 Camry. The dash is driver-focused and is a rare sight even for 2020 cars. Even with all of those buttons on board, the dash looks pleasing and Toyota has added a touch of wood” for the premium feel. But the major noticeable change is the now floating infotainment display which is now parallel to the dashboard layout instead of the earlier angular arrangement. Both the seats are equally comfortable and offer ample cushioning and support. Toyota has smartly laid out its cabin to extract the maximum cargo volume of this lot. Honda Accord, however, bargains on this matter and sacrifices its cargo volume for a more spacious cabin. The second row of Ford Fusion leads the pack in terms of seating space. Various creature comfort features in the 2021 Toyota Camry are: Dual Zone automatic climate control Rear seat air-con vents New upholstery options Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging 4.2-inch TFT MID in instrument cluster(lower trims) 7-inch TFT instrument cluster(higher trims) 10-inch heads-up display Auto-dimming RVM Technology has been given a major bump in the 2021 Toyota Camry. It now gets a new set of 7-inch and 9-inch touchscreen units that are also shared with the new 2021 Toyota RAV4 line-up. The display is a floating unit now, which has helped in freeing up space on the dashboard and bring in a refreshing change to the layout.
